Girls weekend

My family has an annual event we try to keep. The ladies meet at my cousin's house for a weekend of food, fun and entertainment. Although we were short a few people this year, one "puurson" in particular we had a great time.

Look at this giganitc wysteria that covers this outdoor patio.

Shopping. Every year the we cousins buy something similar to remember our weekend together. So hunt and converse and try to decide if 'this' might be the 'one' thing we're buying. Last year it was ice cream scoops. This year we bought refrigerator magnets.

It was rather warm. Nice to sit a spell.

My cousin, Kari, is our hostess. She had some delicious meals planned. Here she is covering bree slices with toasted almonds amidst the talking.

We picked boxes and boxes of peaches for 50 cents a pound. We do this every year.

And peach cobbler naturally followed. (with vanilla ice cream)

This year we saw A Midsummer Night's Dream and happened to see the movie Mamma Mia and so were singing Abba songs all weekend. We also had fun trying on lipstick at the Mac counter.

Have you ever had a panini?

Lunch is served. Watercress strawberry salad served with almond crusted bree and strawberry rosemary muffins. (Did I get that right Kari?)

I got caught up on fashion during my yearly outing. Apparently, this is cool.

It's always nice to come home to my honey.
